  • I started visiting Brios about 7 years ago and fell in love with anything and everything they put in front of me. I'm afraid the love affair isn't what it used to be. Tonight was a deal breaker for me. The steak salad used to be exceptional. Unfortunately, the quality and recipe has changed over the years. I think this evening may very well be my last order. It's very sad and disappointing. I don't know whether the restaurant is looking to cut corners and save money or whether a change in chefs over the years may be behind the changes, but overall it's not the same restaurant I grew to love. We ordered through Door Dash this evening. Delivery was late but we are talking about Valentines Day. . . so they deserve a bit of slack here. When the salads arrived, we noticed right away that the lettuce looked more like what you'd expect to find in a buffet added as an afterthought to a taco. . .chopped up into very small pieces and very light in color. Not much nutritional value. Looked more like scraps than a nice mix of romaine and other types of lettuce thrown into the mix. I'm not sure I understand why the pieces were so small unless they really are scraps. Sarcasm aside. . .The dressing recipe has changed considerably. Unfortunately, that's what really added the WOW factor to the meal back in the day. You honestly could not find better. The small containers of dressing that they did send was about 2/3 full. . .barely enough for a third of the salad provided. We wound up digging in the fridge for additional dressing just to finish the salad. I'd like to say that there was enough to at least hint at the taste of dressing, but that would be a stretch. Walnuts were nearly non existent as well. I will say that the steak was cooked to perfection, but that's about it. Two salads delivered came to just over 51 dollars with roughly 20 coming from taxes, fees, delivery and tip. We would have been happier driving through Jack in The Box for one of their salads and saved a few bucks. Very sad. . .I'm in mourning. :0(
