  • How often do you ever leave a DMV location smiling and saying "Wow?!" What's the punchline you ask? Read on... I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review of a DMV DOT l.ocation, in fear of starting a trend by my fellow South Charlotteans of bypassing our more conveniently located ones (with the widely reported surly attitudes and the poor customer service), in favor of this one; however, such consistent friendly customer service should and must be recognized. Although a 45-minute drive north of my south Charlotte home, the ride was definitely worth it to get such unparalleled state service. In fact, their smiling faces and courtesy almost made me pinch myself to make sure that I wasn't dreaming or at either Chick-fil-A or Trader Joe's or Costco, three businesses known for such superior customer service. This is my second encounter at this location, both times of which, I had to transfer a title and get a new tag. The one lady who does that was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Amazingly, she even made me feel like she really appreciated me as a customer. Go figure! I she even said "My pleasure!" upon thanking her. (Hold on a second while I pinch myself again.) This location is a testimony to excellent management, for that's where great customer service starts. Kudos to the manager there and to his or her staff. Again, I was reluctant in writing this positive review in fear of people actually reading it and adding to its lines, but I hope that other locations would seek to use this one is a model for improvement!
