| - **REASONABLY-PRICED DINNER IN PHOENIX**
3.5 stars.
It was NOT Scottsdale, but the ambiance was nice and the people were friendly.
20 minute drive from downtown PHX.
We sat outside the patio area with other neighboring couples.
ORDERED:
*THE AFFAIRE ($10)
Local greens, roasted tomatoes, shredded carrots, roasted beets, cucumbers, red onions, sliced portobello w/ house balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and delicious.
*JAMAICAN TILAPIA FILET ($17) Pan seared wild tilapia, cilantro rice and mango salsa was definitely fresh and good. I didn't care for the cilantro rice though. It would have tasted better with roasted side vegetables instead. But overall, a solid entree and would recommend.
EXTRA:
*CARROT CAKE (limited edition for March - $6)
I was not impressed by the cake. Runny cream cheese frosting and the cake was too sweet and not flavorful.
*COFFEE ($2.75)
Organic and fresh, it tasted good.
Friendly waiter.
I like the fact that the restaurant endorse local farms and foods, emphasizing on freshness, organic, and healthy.
Downside? A bit far from downtown PHX or Scottsdale.
Overall, a good HEALTHY dining experience in PHX.
RECOMMEND.
