  • Zookz makes outstanding, unique and affordable sandwiches and salads. Their new location in Uptown Plaza is terrific. What separates Zookz is their care. They have a custom panini press, special-made bread, fresh ingredients and attention to detail. You won't find a traditional sandwich on their menu. The owner used to bottle salad dressings for AJs, and their kale + tangerine salad is heaven. Some restaurants have fantastic food, some restaurants have fantastic service, some restaurants have fantastic atmosphere, but finding a place that excels at all three -- and is affordable -- is rare. Love supporting local businesses where the people are just as exceptional as the food they make. Great place for families, lunch dates, solo bites and indoor/outdoor eating in the cooler months.
