  • Looking for a sushi place in downtown Phoenix and came across this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the omakase. Surprisingly it was only $35 so I was a little skeptical as you can imagine. At most legit sushi places this can be well into the triple digits. This is not one of those types of places unfortunately but still a good money's worth. The sushi is served with purple rice. I find that interesting since it is supposedly healthier than regular white sushi rice. It tasted just as good. The portions of fish were pretty substantial. The omakase even came with Toro. But I wonder whether this was real because it was such a big piece. We also order a spicy tuna roll which turned out to be pretty good. The squid on the dish was a bit chewy and I did not care for it. But everything else was delightful. For phoenix, it was a good experience being that there is really no water nearby for fresh sushi.
