Checked in on Tuesday 8/4/15 to Friday 8/7/15
MGM has always been busy especially since we visit during a work convention. Valet looks busy but we arrived by airport shuttle so it was quick to get us in the lobby for check in. We also didn't need the bell service with carry-on baggage.
The line for checking in was long. The staff members at check in as well as check out don't seem very experienced. It took a while to get things done with a lot of waiting since they needed approval for specific transactions.
The first room we stayed in was at the West Wing Towers next to the Crush Bar. It was a long walk through the hallway before we reached the elevators and eventually to our room. It was a cozy room with a king-sized bed. There's an open bathroom with glass doors to the toilet and the shower only. A nice feature was the TV build inside the mirror. Overall, I would not request the West Wing Tower next time because it seemed small and there was way too much walking to get to our room.
The other nights were spent in the North Tower next to the Fiamma Ristorante. The room was slightly larger with a bathroom that had a tub, not just a stand-up shower. It was more convenient staying at the North Tower room since it's not the main tower where everyone else was crowded around, with floors to wait for (3rd floor was the highest). Another perk is that it's close to The District (for eateries), the Garden Arena, and the conference rooms.
Cleanliness in the rooms were average. There was nothing spectacular or noteworthy. I know it was a busy weekend due to the convention so there were long lines everywhere such as the check-in line, taxi line, bell desk line, and the eateries.
