  • Ever scoff at how photoshopped the models cuticles look in nail polish or jewelry ads?! I do but now I'm starting to wonder if they just get their gel manicure done at Matrix because these cuticles are perfection. Girl spent 45 minutes alone on getting my cuticles in check and no she isn't chatty with me and yes she is speaking in a language I can't understand to her coworkers (probably about how jacked up my cuticles looked before) but I didn't go to the nail shop to make a new friend or to talk about the latest Kardashian drama. I came to get my nails done and boy did I. Picture perfect. I appreciate that they put sunscreen on your whole hand before curing the gel especially since I have very fair skin. They don't seem to charge extra for repairing a nail either when you are getting a gel manicure. $30 cash only (or check but who has those anymore?!) and the manicures here last the longest of any place I've been to, almost 3 weeks and considering my nails are in the danger zone for getting broken CONSTANTLY when I'm at work that really says something. Only reason I'm not giving 5 is because I have been here before for a pedicure and while it looked good it wasn't the most relaxing one I've had, though their pedicure chairs/feet bowls are really nice and clean.
