| - This casino is starting to show it's age. It's still a doable stay when you go to Vegas, but it's getting tired. The rooms are in need of a makeover. And this time, add a door to the toilet/bathtub area.
I like Orleans because it's not far off the strip, but far enough away from the noise. The crowd here is mostly locals. If you're staying at the hotel, expect there to be some kind of group tournament going on because of the Arena. Basketball, boxing, volleyball, etc. I think I've seen it all over the past few years. It's not bad, just expect big groups going here and there, and lots of kids in the pool.
The best way to stay is to get a special (sign up for some e-mail). In fact if you are thinking of going to Vegas, visit Vegas websites ahead of time and sign up.
If you decide to stay here but haven't been to Vegas before and are thinking about the Strip, just know, you are a few miles away. They do run a free shuttle that makes stops at their partner casinos around Vegas.
This location does have a nice panoramic view of the Strip from a distance.
