  • I always seem to arrive here after an international flight and am forced into a long line at customs to use the Passport scan machine for a ticket which then places me into another line to go through customs with an officer who then says exit making you believe you are done but no! Wait to see another officer to hand over the ticket you printed out from passport machine that checked you in. Ridiculous. Even so, the lines are always super long and I saw non US citizens get through quicker without having to use machine scan for passport. What? After going through all of that I was forced back through TSA to have my luggage scanned again and then off to find my gate. A 45 minute layover will not allow you enough time if you are connecting from an international flight. Be warned! While I love the airports beautiful up keep and variety of businesses, I hate the gate layout. Good luck getting to another gate if you see something you need and back in time for your flight. Instead, suck it up and select by if you must or avoid all together. Oh and the free wifi is horrible! Don't be fooled. You will be lucky to use it. I don't recall IAD, Reagan, or Miami being this bad.
