| - I come here all the time, at least 2-3 times a week not only because of convenient location but because I generally like the staff and food.
I always come here after tournaments, often come just because, but I've never left a review and I'm sad to say it has to be a poor one.
Like I said, I come here often, I bring people from out of town, usually come in groups of 8-12 unless it's the morning I come by with a group of 2-3 max. I tip very well, usually tipping 80-100% of my own bill(others tipping well in the bigger groups) and always try to be pleasant and understanding as I've worked not only in Food and Beverage, but in a few KBBQ spots in California as well. I get it.
I never have problems with these two servers: Jimmy and Albert. They always have a great attitude, prompt service, great communication, able to read what we'll be asking for next which is huge. These guys are gold.
There is one lady, a taller woman with black hair in a pony-tail that despite her poor service I have always tried to tip well and warm up to. She always brings a ridiculously large plate and doesn't come back for up to an hour(she does this to avoid coming back for orders) and almost never re-fills beverages or asks if I need anything, in fact she doesn't speak at all. Hell, maybe I'd even know her name by now like everyone else's if she would actually speak to me. Even still, I try to be understanding(maybe she's having a bad day. maybe that's every day apparently) and try to be easy and let things slide, act nice, tip well, etc.
Tonight was the last straw, and why I decided to finally write a review.
I showed up 2 hours ago with my fiancee, it's a slow night. There is 3 open tables, but as not to be rude I patiently waited in front for her to acknowledge me. 8 minutes later, I was able to smile at her and she finally pointed at a table where we moved over to and sat. Waited some more. Finally, another lady with glasses came and took our orders/drinks. Waited some more. Finally the original server comes and lays out the appetizers/orders/drinks all at once and walks off.
No problem here, time to start dinner. 30 minutes in: I've been out of water, there's meat scraps left, 3 empty plates, me and my fiancee are on our phones just looking around helplessly to put in another order and maybe ask for some water. Made eye contact with this server nearly every second she walking around, multiple times in one go even. Every time she just stares at me, I smile and try to raise my hand and nothing.
Getting annoyed, because it's been an hour by now. Still, she manages to just stare at me and walk off. I don't get it, at this point I'm getting very upset but trying to remain calm and just get any kind of interaction to order at least just ONE more round of food so I can pay and leave. I did order All You Can Eat, I thought?
It's been nearly and hour and a half by now, where is she?
Well she finally starts walking up to our table. I'm making eye contact with her again, both of us staring at each other. She walks up, pulls out the check from her apron, and walks away.
I couldn't believe the disrespect and poor service. The horrendous attitude and pretty much "Fuck you." to the entire situation. I was able to order 3 small plates of meat and this is it?
As hard as it was to remain calm, I walked up to pay my entire bill(at this point I'm sorry, but I simply refuse to leave ANY tip) and the lady with the glasses was there. I asked if there was any manager, or any way I could file a complaint or at least make the situation known. To which she just said "No, it's fine. The Manager isn't here." Uh, okay? Pay my bill, start walking outside.
Immediately notice through the window the lady with the glasses attempts to talk to this server, to which the server simply shrugs then looks at the bill to check for a tip and then sighs, shrugs and walks off.
I was so upset, I walked back in and asked again if there was any way I could file a complaint or just to let her know just how poor the service was, how upset I was. All I got was "No, no. It's all fine, please, sorry."
Am now debating if I want to do business here anymore, which doesn't just include me but about 3-4 different entire parties that come on a weekly basis. The fact I was able to write out my poor experience on a few sites while "eating" here shows just how little I was being served.
If I do come back, it will be strictly when Jimmy or Albert is working. If I happen to walk in and see this lady, I will take my business elsewhere and maybe even permanently.
Would have loved to give then a high rating, but this wouldn't be read unless it was 1 Star.
I apologize, but this is the only compromise I'm given.
