| - The earlier reviews are pretty much right on target. Got the government rate on their website and paid something like $237 total for this past weekend. Check-in was a breeze and my daughter loved the cookies we were surprised wiith. In addition, they gave me two breakfast coupons for each morning, which I would have never known about.
Room was plenty big with about four pillows on each bed. Comfortable bed. Couldn't find the TV remote but didn't bother calling because we weren't in the room all that much.
They had three working computers in the business center but they all seemed to be running slow. I did not bring my laptop but it appeared they had wifi. Decent indoor swimming pool with available towels.
Breakfast buffet was slow at the peak times due to the omlette station and did not include pancakes. Plenty of drinks available from the hard-working and friendly servers. Since I paid nothing, I can't complain at all. Don't know the regular price, but would have paid about $13 myself.
Grabbed a few pizzas there and LOVED the cheese, tomato and toppings, but the crust wasn't quite my thing. I ended up scraping off the top half and was quite satisfied.
Elevators: hit or miss. If you're on a low floor in the morning, be prepared to wait because of full cars from top floor guests checking out. As noted by others, no service elevator and the cleaning staff isn't shy about taking up space on them.
Also, if you fail to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door, the cleaning staff will (not might) be knocking on your door very early.
Didn't take the shuttle bus but I often saw it parked out front. It looked like a good number of people wanted to take it to the Indians game and I'm sure they had to make several runs. Remember, this is not your personal chauffer service, so don't count on it to get you somewhere if you need to be there at a specific time.
The hotel convenience store was rather cheesy and had limited drink options (no Diet Coke all weekend).
I'd recommend this place at the price I paid, especially if you are going to the RRHOF, the USS Cod or a Browns game, which are all a short walk away. Progressive Field is a solid 13 minute hike.
Recommendation: Take the boat tour on the Goodtimes II, which is docked right behind the RRHOF Very pleasant narrated trip along the river and Erie. Thumbs up.
