| - I was concerned about the yelp reviews. I'll admit. But he was recommended by a friend, so I went with it, and I'm very happy I did. Called in the morning, and as time was of the essence even on a Saturday for a car that failed to start, was really happy that he said he could make an appointment for 12:30. I was shocked out of my mind when at 12:20, I got a text, "he's on his way." It's been many many MANY years since I had a service call from ANYBODY and they were hours, within when they were supposed to get here. He was way cool. Period. I cannot speak for others experiences, but it was way cool. Any other mechanic I'm 100% sure would have demanded putting in a new starter. He figured out, however, how to save me money, and replace the real problem, a wire to the starter that had gotten bumped around when the engine mounts used to be bad. Cost was perfectly reasonable, work was -quick-. Half an hour, maybe? He told me that my ignition key cylinder is going to just not work, sooner probably than later, and I agree. Good catch. So I ordered one, after he QUICKLY confirmed I had found the right part. When it gets here, I'll tell him, and he'll come back and put it in. I'm not doubting other's experiences. But all I can report on is what -I- experienced. I don't know those people. I don't know. All I know is I lost count of the UNGODLY number of nasty experiences I've had over the years with mechanics, and this was good, inexpensive, quick, and easy as heck. BTW, my home owner's association is nasty, and likes to look for trouble, including, "cars fixed in the driveway." But I told him about that, he kept it on the down low not to draw attention from busy body's, and it was all good. This was MUCH easier than having it towed somewhere for work, then having to get a ride to go pick it up "whenever." Great job, Kenny! thanks! P.S. If you look at my yelp, i very rarely am impressed enough to leave any positive review.
