  • Normally, I try to avoid downtown Calgary like the plague. Parking is a huge pain and it's just so congested. I do make the trip there for certain stores. Dominion Drugs is one of them. They're the only place in the city that sells Sleep Right Dental Guards (customizable guards for teeth grinders and TMJ sufferers that are much cheaper than at the dentist). It's a big store. There's a section for gifts, which includes everything from figurines to serenity CD's. There are stylish lunch bags for the hip businesswoman. Cards for all occasions and all the rest of the basics. Decent prices, comparable to the major drug stores. There's also a post office inside. In the back, you'll find the specialty items like heavy duty neti pots and the dental guards. Very pleasant staff. The pharmacist gave some good advice on which one would be the best dental guard for a middle-aged family member. The only thing that isn't so great about Dominion Drugs is the parking.
