  • Admittedly, I was a bit puzzled at the prospect of writing a yelp review for a public park; but then I've reviewed bridges and monuments so this should be fun in comparison. Trinity Bellwoods is a reasonably sized park in more-or-less downtown Toronto sandwiched between two major thoroughfares of the city - Dundas and Queen st. west, making it very convenient and easily accessible. On countless occasions I've had a picnic here with my partner/friends while having lovely conversations with other picnickers, hipsters, dog owners, homeless people (I realize my categorization is not exclusive) and others. On a sunny day when folks spread out a blanket and spread out over it, they are generally happy, a feeling that is easily rubbed off on others, especially when some alcohol is involved; a behaviour that, I declare publicly, I do not condone. At other times the park has lots to offer for people watching, from sweaty tennis players to a group of old grandfathers sharing a joke. The idea of owning a dog (pet) scares me and therefore I am content at watching other people's dogs chasing frisbee and sniffing fellow canines in the off-leash area of the park. Enjoy your visit!
