This is by far my favorite restaurant in Montreal. It's retro, it's delicious and it doesn't give a crap if you like it or not (so much so that they dont even have signage. It's like saying "maybe you'll find us, maybe you won't- that's YOUR problem"). The food is elegant, sometimes simple and always delicious. The fish soup is a must, as well as the terrine de foie gras. I love the shrimp risotto, always perfect, always delectable. The waiters can be slightly snobbish and sometimes seem exasperated should you ask a question- but who cares! It adds to the French allure. The important thing is the efficiency and professionalism of these career waiters. This is the place I drag my friends for all major occasions; birthdays, holidays, celebrations, because it's Tuesday (girl's got to eat!). Word to the wise, reserve way in advance for groups of 5+ and don't be surprised if they stick you after 10pm.
