Where is the management? POOR SERVICE! We went to the Grind on a Groupon and encountered a series of missteps. It was the Friday night of Barrett Jackson car auction and they had 2 servers on staff. We got seated on the patio and when I inquired about the portable heaters (it was a cool night) we were told that all the propane tanks had been picked up that day for refilling - none working (on this, one of the busiest weekends in Scottsdale.) Drinks took forever to arrive and food took even longer. When food finally arrived husband's burger was cooked rare when he'd ordered it medium. Son's burger came with wrong toppings. Server was impossible to track down. When we mentioned the rare burger (far too late to replace it; we were more than ready to pay and leave) server started with song and dance about kitchen being busy. There was no manager type at all and the place was packed. Another table near us had to cancel their dessert order due to how long it was taking and several patrons were standing around trying to track someone down to pay. Convenient location and good concept - I hope they can work out their service issues. If they're going to stay in business it would pay to hire some leadership for busy nights. Glad we brought cash so we could pay and get out - trying to use credit card or get change would have taken forever.
