Although it has been a number of years since we've stayed in the New York New York Hotel (mainly during business travel) whenever we're in Las Vegas, we frequent the casino and have enjoyed some of the dining options in here. Our last stay in the hotel was very pleasant and service was friendly. Room rates are reasonable for staying on The Strip and they offer special rates for M life members, Military, AAA and local residents. The clean rooms range in size, configuration and location within the hotel. Just be aware there will be an additional daily resort fee to your stay.
As for the casino, it seems a bit small but is surrounded by shops and eateries. The décor or ambiance is sort of dark as one would expect a resemblance to "Gotham". Stroll through streets of Greenwich Village and snack on classic Black & White cookies or chow down on a "mile high" pastrami sandwich in their NY-style deli. There is an Irish pub that serves up delicious Shepherd's Pie, Guinness Braised Short Ribs or Fish and Chips. Pair them with cold mugs of beer, ale or shots of Irish Whiskey. Walk across or the casino floor to find Italian, Asian, Global Street Foods (Tom's Urban) and American (steakhouse or burgers at Shake Shack).
This New York themed resort also has entertainment that is suitable for all ages. Take a ride on their Big Apple Roller Coaster or get tickets to a "naughty" Cirque du Soleil performance. You can visit the New York skyline including the Statue of Liberty and walk under the arches of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Anyway, we do enjoy this themed resort and find ourselves gambling or spending some of our visits here whenever we're in Las Vegas.
