  • I went in about a month ago because one of my teeth was bothering me and causing pain all through my jaw and face. It had been a long time since I have gone to the dentist & I needed a new one..so I picked this place because they took my insurance, it was close to home & because of the yelp reviews. I figured I needed a root canal. I got the x-Rays and exam, and told the doctor what was going on. She said it sounded like a sinus infection..I only needed one cavity filled..or it could be caused from grinding my teeth at night, and suggested I get a custom made night guard ($250 through them) and scheduled me to come back for a deep cleaning. Not satisfied with how the visit went & the amount of pain I was still in when I left, I went to quick care. They couldn't figure out what was the matter either..thought it was an upper respiratory infection of some sort so they prescribed an antibiotic. Thank god they did. Come to find out, through my own research and symptom check through web md I have a dental abcess. Wednesday I went to a different dentist who explained to me that it's from a failing root canal that was done over 8 years ago. He wrote another perception for an antibiotic and referred me to a specialist. Hoping to get in as soon as possible before it gets any worse. But My question is...why on gods green earth did the 1st dentist at Las Vegas modern dentistry not see what was going on & dismiss my symptoms as if it was nothing?! So much for "modern" dentistry. I'm scared to death that this abcess infection might spread somewhere else before I can get into the specialist and if the 1st dentist would have taken the time to look deeper into my symptoms I probably could have taken care of this last month when it started! I will NEVER go back here I will make sure none of my friends or family ever go here and I should send them the bill for my expenses that could have been avoided if they would have taken care of the problem to begin with.
