| - A co-worker told me about this nail salon, and since it was right around the corner from my house I decided to give it a try.
I was across the street at the Frys and called in to see if they could do a full set-pedicure. The owner answered and told me I could come on over.
I arrived and checked in and waited, when I arrived the place wasn't too busy. By the time I got seated in a chair the place was packed every seat taken and a wait.
Vince started doing my ombré full set, and he did an awesome job. The only downside since he was the owner, he did stop to check people in, answer the phone and check people out. But that did not bother me cause he did exactly what I wanted. He stopped mid way thru my manicure to switch me to get a pedicure, I assume he had a scheduled appointment which is totally fine since I just walked in. He was awesome, friendly and funny so I didn't mind at all. I love my nails'
I didn't catch the lady's name that did my pedicure but she was good. She made sure my water was right and that I was comfy and offered water. I ended up picking the "jubilee"' pedicure which was 35 dollars. She did awesome at the filing my toes/cutting, and massage. She was polite and made sure the pressure was ok and if I needed anything. I feel like I shouldn't complain about her just making sure I was ok but at the same time I feel like I was there to relax not constantly being asked if things felt ok. But I understand she just wanted to make sure I was satisfied. The only thing that I am iffy about is the way she painted my toes. It's lumpy and uneven on my big toes. I think the polish I selected was a little older cause she had to keep putting acetone or whatever it is to make it less sticky, but when I asked to pick out a new polish she said "no it's okay" and kept trying to make it work. Which is what warrants my 3 star review. My toes ended up chipping and it's only been 5 days since I got them. And I wear tennis shoes everyday for work and not hard on my toenails what-so-ever.
After my pedicure I returned to Vince's chair so he could finish my manicure, and then I was on my way. Price was 55 for my full set, (I got ombré, pink and white and rhinestones added to my ring fingers) which I thought was comparable, the pedicure though I felt like I've had better that was more worth 35 dollars.
This place used to be a bike shop, and you would never be able to tell, the inside is gorgeous and they did a great job turning it into a relaxing place to get your nails done.
I will probably be back for my fill and another pedicure! Hopefully my pedicure lasts a little longer next time.
