  • I totally miss Perfect Scoop, the place that was here before. I have no idea why it suddenly closed!! But nevertheless, here's my review for Recess.. Firstly, the concept is quite interesting. Pick your tea (green or black), pick your Italian ice cream (great variety), and add your topping (boba, seafoam cream, or aloe vera). When we walked in, we were greeted right away with two friendly gentlemen. We ordered a green tea, with passion fruit ice, and aloe vera. Great flavor!! But we didn't get aloe vera and got boba instead. We also ordered 2 milk teas. One with boba. One without. Both came with boba. I didn't try any of the Italian ice flavors but people in my group did. And from what they tell me, a lot of the flavors just tasted like ice. Its not fair because I didn't taste it myself so I'd have to go back and give it a good try. Overall, great friendly service, good drinks (but I think it'd be hard to make a good drink flavor out of a more creative Italian ice cream and tea?!). But the ambience is a bit cold (black and white). And 2 out of 3 of our orders had an error.
