I agree with the above person that about location (Westmount). I've had issues with Arlene's way of talking to people and also I found that she doesn't really resolve clients' problems. My problem had to do with a New Talent stylist from 2010 March scratching the "New Talent" words on her card and then manually scribbing "Stylist" (which is one level up) on there. Then reception told me that this person IS in fact a ONLY New Talent. She shouldn't pretend to be one level up when she's not. Worse is that this makes it an outright lie because a Stylist is licensed, New Talents are not (no matter how close they are). I don't know about you, but I would feel much safer going to someone who has passed the test (the license) to handle chemicals going into my hair.
Of course, Arlene's suggestion would be to fix whatever I don't like about my hair just to shut me up, but she did not understand that my main issue was the New Talent lying in her business card and how big of a deal that was (licensed vs. not licensed). I didn't even make any comments about my hair and was not even asking for a redo!
I've recently gotten Arlene's manager (the owner's) name and will be contacting him to discuss my issue. This is not the first time she has misunderstood my issues and I find that this is always the case. Also I find her impolite. Also, she may state facts strongly to make herself sound knowledgeable, but most of what she states don't even relate to the issue at hand.
