Ethiopian food!???! Say WHAT?!?! Time to step outside of our hip gastropub food comfort-zones! For anyone who is wanting something different from the brussel sprouts or burgers, Cafe Lalibela is the spot. It's located in a little strip center, but you can't miss the awesome Christmas-esque lighting going on outside! Now this was my first time eating Ethiopian and it will not be my last. The best part is you get to eat with your hands...er... well you're supposed to at least :) The lady and I came here wanting to try something more unique on a Saturday night and she's had Ethiopian before. Being my first time we ordered the Meat Combination and the Vegetable Combination and it was plenty of food, especially since you get plenty of Injera to go with it. Really everything was awesome! The doro wat (chicken) was probably my favorite out of the 3 meats, but all were very good. The veggies were all different, but nothing you wouldn't recognize. I even topped it off with an Ethiopian Lager. I have opened my eyes to the world of Ethiopian food and Cafe Lalibela is the best in that category for me being that it was my first time! Definitely worth trying!
Cheers!
