  • I want you to google a open face turkey sandwich with gravy. You see how wonderful they look that is NOT what I got. It was piece of bread with cold cuts that after one bite I (and I didn't swallow it) didn't taste fresh. The potato's were cold and chunky and the gravy was from a can. The salad was wilted but the carrots in the salad were good but the ranch dressing was runny and watered down. In my personal opinion my dinner sucked. My son's burger looked wrong and as it was a cooked perhaps it was microwaved or maybe cooked and then put away and then just heated up. He's 9 and said dad this is the worst and my son has eaten at a ton of places and been very brave at times. My wife and daughter didn't want to be linked to this review so they said it was nothing special at all. We had ice cream too but its nearly impossible to mess that up so they don't get stars for scooping it out of a bucket. I understand the charms of this place, this next to new store that also serves food. My daughter purchased a cool little coat and read a newspaper about John F Kennedy being shot and no, they do not get a point to teaching a bit about history. God I had high hopes for this place I read the views and even the bullet holes in the glass in the front windows (they really do look like bullet holes) didn't keep me from there. I've eaten at places all over and the neighborhood does not make a restaurant bad. Its the owners or the cooks or wait staff that can bring a place down. The wait staff were super polite and dressed cute in 1950s uniforms so that was an effort. For 4 people it was about $80.00 which my wife said when we got into the car she felt really cheated and let down. She was 100% disappointed because I told her to pick a place we had never been to. She even said sorry on the way to the event tonight. I said it was not your cooking and you did your research. Maybe the cook had just quit and they had a new one but when I was a cook the servers would yell at me if the dish needed to be cleaned up or you expect me to serve this and get a tip? Remake it and make it look like the pictures so I can get a good tip and I don't kill you after we close the kitchen. That is what makes a restaurant work where everyone cares about it from the cooks, waitstaff to the busboys everyone works together like a machine to make sure the place will continue. I just don't know if this one will. Good Luck out there.
