| - This Dotty's is a convenient place to gamble in the Eastern Beltway Shopping Center. It is the former Shuck's Tavern close to the Walmart Supercenter.
I have gambled here a few times and am not crazy about this place. After experiences playing my game of choice: Caveman Keno I am of the opinion that this location should be called Snotty's. The issue is that they seem to be friendly to some of the people. For example, the few times that I played here, I believe her name is Tina, would ask certain people if they need anything and skip over others. If you've never been to Dotty's before you could exchange a beverage for gaming. There is no bar or anything. Most of the beverages are in a refrigerator. I'd usually exchange money on my favorite game of chance for a can of Coke or Sparkling ice. What really disgusts me about Snotty's, I mean Dotty's is their expectation of continuous playing. It really seems that they don't want you to take a breather. I took a break from playing Caveman Keno to look at a website on my phone. It seemed that in a minutes time that the woman running the place, goes up to me to say that some guy was waiting on my machine. Hmmmm! There is like five machines vacant. Then on a later visit, this dude takes a pause from gaming to chat with his friend. The woman running the place tells him that their are people waiting on the machine. What!? Half the casino was empty. I am under the impression that Dotty's instructs their employees to go up to a customer that has the nerve to take a breather from consistently pouring money into the machine with the canned statement, "Somebody is waiting on the machine."
I don't know about all Dotty's, but this one is as fun to play Keno in as a Smith's slot casino. The only thing entertaining was the classic rock on the sound system. There is no theme to the place. Enthusiastic employees were nonexistent on my Caveman Keno sessions. In summary, this Dotty's is boring.
When I give two stars, I often suspend that business for two months. Gambling is a form of leisure and not a race to throw away my money. I regret it when a business is watching over me to see how fast I am gambling and subsequently get on my cloud when I take a breather. This is Vegas where the landscape is developed with casinos of every shape and style. As it stands, this Dotty's doesn't have to worry about me taking a breather at a machine in a half empty casino for the next six months.
