| - Stopped in on a Friday night during Pittsburgh's Light Up Night. First sign something was amiss was when our server, after sitting for a couple minutes already, passed us and said it was going to be several more minutes until he could take care of us. We sat upstairs, in a decently sized room. This server was waiting on the entire floor.
The draft "cider" was very light tasting, comparable to watered down apple juice. Ordered hummus as an appetizer, took at least 30 minutes to get it... I wish I had been watching the clock throughout the experience because it took WAYYY TOO LONG to get our food. Everyone else in the dining room was experiencing the same thing, so it wasn't because our waiter forgot about our food.
BBQ pork/ham sandwich with tater tots and the western burger... anything fried was overdone to the point it was too soaked in grease to eat and not feel sick. Onion rings on the sandwiches, tater tots. Those things aside, the sandwiches were just okay... we were super hungry by the time the food came, at least an hour after ordering, so anything would've tasted fine!
Where is management? Never once noticed a manager. No one came to our table or anyone else's for that matter. Don't give one server an entire floor he can barely keep up with. Clearly there were problems in the kitchen... even more disappointing to have to sit and wait on food and miss out on the festivities happening that night.
I could've understood if there were some good explanation and there was an attempt made to rectify the situation. I'm not looking for handouts, but geez at least take the appetizer off? Buy your guests a drink? Nothing was taken off the bill.
Hopefully the manager was helping out in an unexpectedly understaffed kitchen. Yeah we'll go with that.
Pass.
