  • Dined here for the first time last night. Sat at the bar (which is fully stocked, several beers on tap, even had wine on tap). Thursday they have 1/2 priced bottles. So we did the right thing and got a bottle. Atmosphere- reminds me of a bar, ya know cause it is one. TV's, wood, ppl laughing and drinking. Very clean, very casual, very perfect for a low key laid back evening. THey have indoor tables, the bar I mentioned earlier and outdoor/indoor seating. Food - so RoCo is everything I thought Coaltranes was gonna be. The name Coaltrane makes me think of Jazz (John Coltrane, American saxophonist) but it's really like Viva Chicken but Mediterranean. This place is like a low key soul-food spot except all the chicken is roasted (hence the name). The FOOD IS DELish!! So I got a 1/4 (chicken) plate comes with 2 sides I got the squash casserole and the collards. It also comes with cornbread wait for it... with real corn in it! My friend got the rice plate which is essentially the same thing but with an extra side of rice (she works out so - carb it up). The food came quickly and it was hot. I was impressed with the seasoning on the collards - really good. I'm from SC and know how these should be made and they did not disappoint. Price- this place is very affordable-our total bill including a nice tip (and the aforementioned bottle of wine) was like $45 bucks. How to order - If you aren't sitting at the bar, walk to the back and go to the counter under the sign where is reads RoCo in big letters, like at Panera Bread, order your food and seat yourself and your food will be brought to you. If you are at the bar it's full service (food and drink orders). Not sure how the indoor/outdoor space works. I'll sit there next time. Would for sure come back ya know cause I like chicken and it was good!
