  • I'll start with why they missed the 5th star...timing on the service was a bit off as they wanted to remove my appetizer to get the main courses going but I wasn't finished. Perhaps this occurred because I ordered the 3 course lunch for $29 and my appetizer was the trio of dips. This app is a sizeable portion and I was happily sharing with my table so I wouldn't be too full to finish the next two courses. The dips are the taramosalata which is fish roe, olive oil and lemon. To me it tasted almost buttery and I loved it. The others at the table preferred the tzatziki. The third of the dips was the skordalia and interestingly I didn't taste the almonds, but more of the garlic. Another at our table ordered the appetizer of octopus for a $10 upcharge and it was the absolute best octopus we have had in our lives (and we eat a lot of pi....) For the mains we tried the seabream which is definitely bony so don't order this if you don't like fishing out the tiny bones. However, the simplicity of the capers and lemon made for a nice lighter main. My entree was the shrimp saganaki and even though it looks like a small portion the shrimp are huge and succulent and I was full before I knew it. Many reviews suggest that the dessert isn't great but I disagree. The yogurt tasted like cream! The walnut cake was also very good and the selection of berries a nice finale to the meal. I think one of the highlights of this dining experience was also my cocktail... "Monks in Mexico" which had Patron Reposado Tequila, Green Chartreuse, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, grapefruit juice and agave nectar. I have all these ingredients but the chartreuse at home and I guarantee I'm going to try and replicate this as it was absolutely fantastic!!!! I would definitely return and you can't beat the $29 price for three courses at lunch.
