Our family recently grew by one furry slobbering ball of love. Golden retriever rescue of southern Nevada held our hands through the process. We applied to be dog parents and they contacted us for a house visit to make sure we wouldn't leave poison laying around or feed a dog to... something that eats dogs. They wanted to see a yard and a loving family. We talked about our "requirements" what would be a good fit for our family. And then we waited.
And waited.
And waited.
It took patience. And perseverance. But we refused to get a puppy. And my boyfriend was stuck on having a golden.
Then we got a call that there was a dog that was close to our criteria. A little younger than I wanted. But we went to meet him and as soon as we got him home it was pretty much evident that he was going to live with us for the rest of his doggy life. The volunteers were endlessly helpful, and our dog is the best.
Thanks GRRSN!!
