| - DO NOT USE CENTURYLINK AS YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER!!!
***Expect a Better Business Bureau filing from me for their practices...***
I understand I'm not the only one they need to service but the run arounds, lies, and charges are unacceptable.
My girlfriend and I just moved to Tempe at the beginning of the year and my worst complaint is how Centurylink service is. I can agree with most of the other one star ratings that people gave.
First, we were billed for a month that we didn't even have internet setup for. If you're lucky enough to get through to a representative, be careful for a run around. We come to find out that internet wasn't even turned on in our apartment complex. (technician came out and he said that he has never serviced our apartment complex).
Second, they claim they have internet speeds up to 40/Mbps, but when you actually run their own tests you as a user are only getting 20% of that speed. This was confirmed by their online tech support who viewed the speed on their end.
Third, you will be spending at least a couple of hours trying to reach a representative who, 4 out if 5 times, have been outsourced to a different country.
Fourth, my girlfriend WASTED her day waiting for a technician to come by (4 hour window in the middle of the day 12-4pm) only to find out that the technician is running late (it would have been professional to get a phone call saying they will be late) to when talking to a representative to complain about it, that they said, "you have no appointments for a technician to show up"!!! WTF!!!
We are new to the AZ area and so far Centurylink was a HORRIBLE DECISION. The only reason why we got it was bc direct tv had a bundle special going on. (Direct TV's service is amazing an on point with getting their equipment into the apartment and setting everything up)
