Was there for a late lunch the other day around 1pm in order to check the place and use my Groupon (again, I know).
I was pretty much the only one in the restaurant so I got quick service and full attention.
The waiter, Andrew, recommended the New Orleans roll as one of his preferred roll. I decided to order 3 hand rolls (Spicy salmon, scallops and yellow tail) on top of the New Orleans.
I got the hand rolls first and they were big and delicious but I thought that for $6 a piece they had to as I usually pay $3.50 or so for the same elsewhere. Then the New Orleans came. It made me thinking that I did the right choice ordering hand rolls rather than rolls but it could be me and my likings too. This one felt pretty blend comparing to what I got before and the tuna on top was a bit tasteless.
I like when all the flavors create some kind of a firework in your mount but this one was far from it. At least it was crunchy, so I got the noise from the firework without the show, a bit disappointed there. In my mind I could have used another hand roll, oh well.
I ended up paying $2 plus tip which wasn't bad when you consider the Groupon ($30). I guess I will give it another shot next time I can grab another discount but for now I'm still chewing on this last toll.
