  • Well, this was my first time hiring movers after 5 moves within the GTA and I think it might be my last. I thought this would have been a great experience as I usually just rent a truck and ask friends to help me move. The movers that Noble Moving Services sent (about an hour too early) were terrible (we ended up paying $70 for an hour for them to go eat lunch as we did not have the elevator in my new building until 2:30pm and packing was done just before 1:00pm). One barely spoke a word of English (so trying to explain anything or give direction was extremely difficult) and I'm pretty sure the other peed all over the rim of the toilet in my new place and I also saw him taking a smoke break and talking on his cell phone several times when he was supposed to be moving my stuff. They scratched a bunch of pieces of our furniture (they had furniture blankets in the truck but they did not use any) and damaged others (I now have a fan that has a huge dent in it and will no longer work). They complained that items were heavy (they're movers, aren't they?)... so I don't know why they would complain. I also thought they were completely unprofessional by asking me how much I as paying in rent at my old and new place. They completely disregarded instructions and moved items that we told them we were leaving behind. And they also didn't seem to care or take care in moving our items. I had a gift bag on the floor containing a gift for a friend. It was obviously a gift as the items inside were wrapped in tissue paper. Rather than ask if they could use it, they put our couches legs in the bags and taped it shut!!! I am so horribly disgusted and upset by this experience that I doubt I will ever hire movers again, or at the very least go with a company that has been referred to me. Stay away from this company and pay more to go with a reputable moving company.
