We thought it would be cool to catch a baseball game while visiting Toronto. We realized that purchasing tickets at the ballpark on the day of a game was not that easy. The line to purchase the tickets was long. We eventually got our tickets and when we got in, the food smelled super good. I ended up getting a foot long polish dog and tried a Tim Horton's frozen coffee drink for the first time. Everything was delicious!!!!
What I thought was terrible was that I could not take my drink into any of the stores at the ball park. What type of rule is that???? There is food all around the ball park!! That is like not allowing drinks into stores located at a mall where there is a food court that sells drinks! It just didnt make sense to me. The stores had a lot of inventory but they were expensive! I spent $40 on a t-shirt! Crazy!
The ballpark itself was nice as the dome opens and closes. On the day we went, the weather was drizzly so the dome was closed and the ball park was really humid. My pictures turned out cloudy looking because you could literally see the humidity. The closed dome also made the ball park look so much smaller.
As we sat and watched the Bluejays play the Kansas City Royals, we realized that this was the QUIETEST ballgame we have ever been to. They do not play the typical baseball songs as they do at other games in the U.S--they did not even chant "lets go bluejays lets go!". Another observation we noticed was that all the songs they did play during the game were really OLD, at least 10 years old.
We did not stay during the entire game, but we heard the bluejays won.
