  • Beware, grossly overpriced. Pure up sell by playing on lack of knowledge by consumer. My garage had a broken torsion spring. Had this same thing happen at my other (25 year old) home 3 times over the years. Replacement cost of the spring set those times ranged from $120-$180. Precision tech took a quick look and said $500 for the springs and since the cables were as old as the springs they were sure to break soon.. And judging by the shiny path the rollers had made they were bad and needed replaced but he could do the whole thing for $1500. Okay all of these parts cost less then $150 at a home improvement store and he was talking a couple hours of labor so he was at the $500 an hour labor mark. And the home improvement store has a complete garage door for $700. My 25 year old home still has all original rollers, cables, bearings was on a high usage door and after 3 spring replacements the door is still opening and closing quietly and smoothly. I mentioned what I previously paid and he came d own to $350 for the springs but said that would be with a 3 year warranty. My fault for not checking YELP for this companies reviews. After escorting him out I checked YELP and got the springs replaced the next day for $220 with a 5 year warranty.
