I think the stylists try really hard to do a good job, but they are raised by the wrong hands.
Timing: why give me a 5p.m. appointment if the salon is fully booked until 5:30p.m.?
Attitude: the girls are all very nice.
Haircut & highlights: questionable.
I only had few streaks of funky highlights that needed re-bleaching at the roots so I bought their groupon thinking "hey, what can go wrong?". All they had to do was put in 3-4 foils, trim my bangs and prove the Yelpers wrong!
First of all, Patience said they have "a lot of fun colors". When I sat down, the girl who did my hair went "Oh we don't have this blue." "We don't have this red." "that purple's not really bright." I don't care if they only had Manic Panic from Shoppers. They can't even stock $10 worth of non-perishable goods? I can't say I didn't warn them of my request 2 weeks prior my appointment. Grudgingly I got reddish-copper highlights.
I don't know who trained the nice girl who did my hair. She used MY FACE to support the foils as she slapped the brush against it the entire time. The foils are then not folded but carelessly scrunched away from my face.
Both hair washes (to wash out the bleach and to wash out the color) did NOT involve her washing behind my neck. In between the bleaching (20 minutes) and coloring (15 minutes) she used her own hairclip from her hair to hold mine up. Her beautiful hair extentions kept slapping at my face during the rinses (imagine dry mop of pony tail smacking your nose and mouth like a drive-thru car wash). Then I was left to sit at the sink, away from my purse and magazines, while products ran down the back of my neck.
Instead of properly coloring my streaks, she assumed my hair was dark enough, and deposited it throughout my hair right at the sink. Other than the fact that this wastes A LOT products, my entire scalp glows copper red under the sunlight now.
Trim: the bangs are croaked. I'm now very glad I didn't ask for a full haircut.
Blow-out was good. But no blow-out can fix croaked bangs.
Overall: why sell promotional deals if you have no intention to prove yourself?
