| - Checked in on Friday night last minute as its too late for me to get home. 24 hr front desk is super awesome. I was given a 10 beds dorm room all to myself. I guess November is the down Season. Upon checking in, you will get your bedsheets (one of them suppose to be fitted, which i have trouble fitting them onto my mattress), and a large towel (hurray for that!)
There is a bar in the hostel and Karaoke session also happens every Friday night, which can be fun since everyone is too drunk to judge really.
My room faces Spadina Ave, if you're light sleeper, you might want to pack some ear plugs. They also offers free breakfast (freshly made pancakes!) from 7 -10pm, guess its a good enough reason to wake up early.
The staffs are super friendly and easy to talk to. The location is superb, right by Chinatown and a few minute walks to downtown. Yes, it is old and perhaps in need of some facelift, but I really enjoyed my stay and most likely will be going back. If you are going to stay there, my piece of advice is to be realistic. This is a hostel, not a hotel. I have my fair share of staying in hostels, this is really not as bad as the nic picks mentioned from some of the reviews
