  • So we make a reservation here's as part of a team. We are taking part in an out of town soccer tournament. The coach calls and reserves a block of rooms. We were the first to book the reservation which one would think that maybe being the first you'd get a decent room. Now that the cat is out of the bag let me get into this horror story weekend. My family was the first family to check in. We get our room to find out we are no where remotely close to our team. So off to a bad start. My wife says I'll go open up the room and get things ready as I start to bring up gear. Not even at my truck yet and my wife is calling me telling me how horrible the room is. We faced the pool. No natural light, the smell of chlorine is all over the room. Not sure about all of you but chlorine bothers me. It's a choking feeling I get around it. We figure we're the first of the team to check in maybe we can different room, nope. Not even close, told the hotel is at full capacity. Well keep in mind at this time of day the bloody place is empty! The woman at the front desk was very ignorant and defensive when we called to complain. They claimed if the chorine smell was still bothering us they will freshen the room. So what does that mean? Febreeze? Keep in mind at this point we've been in the room for 10 minutes that's it. We turn on the air conditioner and hope that maybe air movement while we go have a bite to eat in the family friendly lounge will help. So now in the lounge the drink selection is generous but prices are absurd. The food sounds interesting but after ordering I can't tell you not worth the money. So the lounge staff seems to be poor at best but from all we've experienced on this hotel from hell I'd say par for the course. Our dinner is done and we're back to the room. It now smells like cold chlorine, still the choking feeling of bleach in the back of your throat. Again call the front desk. This is third time discussing the room issue with the same woman at the front desk. Again rude as ever but told us they could move us to the fourth floor to a king bed suite. It has a king bed. So where's will my daughter sleep? Oh wait they may be able to find a cot for her to sleep on. Seriously? Well after that response I decided there's no point in us complaining to them, honestly the staff really doesn't care. So I write this review and took every fantastic picture I could. Keep in mind the humidity in the room was through the roof. Literally, black mould on the roof. Don't worry I found more of that black mould on the wall right under the window sill. The shower head was falling out of the shower and the bathroom door hardly closed because the hinges were so horribly rusted. There's only one thing decent I can say about this dive, the breakfast buffet was good and the staff were really friendly. There's nothing else I can say positive about the place. I will give one star because I can't give zero. I've stayed at many Best Western hotels before and this place doesn't even remotely live up to the standard of a Best Western in my opinion. Never will I stay at this place again!
