I purchased a used 2012 Honda Odyssey back in January here. The buying experience was about the same as you would expect in any commission based sales experience. The sales guy, Alex, was nice enough. I did not care for his manager though.
When we checked out the car the salesman noticed that a seat strap was missing in the back and the visor was missing clips. He said he ordered these things and they'd just pop them in the following week.
I received an email saying that the parts came in a week later and scheduled a service appointment with the provided link.
When I showed up to this appointment I stood by my vehicle for awhile before I decided to go inside and find someone to help me. I stood inside at least 5 min. Before anyone offered to help me. When I explained why I was there the service guy said they couldn't help me. That this was something that took half a day to install and that they had the wrong seat strap anyway.
To sum up that whole story, after going round and round with some person named Sean and a very ineffective manager they finally got the right part a few weeks later. This time they said they could fix it quickly and wouldn't take half a day because they will prioritize my visit due to my inconvenience. I brought the van in and surprise surprise, the strap just got pulled inside the seat and was there all along. Thanks for checking!
That was irritating but the real reason for the 1 star review is the fact that I bought the van in January. The tire pressure light kept coming on and I'd add air. I thought it was the temperature changes but by February I took it to a tire shop and the tire had a nail in the side wall all along. I had to replace it.
Now it is June and I took the van in for an oil change and found out it needed a new CV axel and rear shocks! So I just shelled out more cash to repair that.
I know I did not get the extended warranty but what the hell is the point of buying a Honda certified used car. What does that certification even mean? I thought it meant they checked everything out and it was tip top. Anyway. The seat strap run around and then all the repairs did it for me. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle here to anyone. Especially a used one.
