Watched DARK KNIGHT here 4 hours ago. I hit fandango for the tickets and printed them out to bypass the line...but when we got there the scanning machines weren't working. Then they attempted to verify using the credit card I paid with, and the results came back that the bar code already was invalid. Turns out the first time it was scanned it did go through but the stub printer was out of paper.
In the meantime, a dozen people or so were already able to pay, get their stubs, and walk inside while we were waiting at the counter. It's like pulling into the drive through because you only see one car waiting, when in fact that person ordered 100 cheeseburgers. A good, time-saving and efficient concept (online ticketing) killed by simple interface error. Just my luck!
Good thing the movie kicked all kinds of behinds. Also, I do give the theater staff credit for doing what the could to rectify the situation. As much as I hate to give low stars....it's the little things that make or break, yeah?
