  • Here for my annual trip to Charlotte and this time I knew where to go for a good Gullah meal. I went with my teammates for a celebration meal and was introduced to Okra & Tomatoes. If you haven't tried it it's a must. Service comes with delicious corn bread and butter or you can choose from the menu. The decor is made up of colorful walls adorned with pictures of family and friends. It can see dark in certain seating areas so have your flashlight ready. The volume is moderate so you can enjoy a conversation with your dining mates. I didn't try any of their tempting desserts. Call ahead to find out what desserts are being served that day.
