Just okay in my opinion. Was worth the drive from Charlotte but won't be returning.
Ultimately, I had a great time. The ambience is lovely and it's very intimate. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the process being chaotic and a little too laid back.
Me and the boyfriend had a Groupon that included a free bottle of wine, the tasting, the tour, and 2 glasses for 2 people so I can only speak on that.
Pros: The treehouse was not rented out so we got to check it out and it was quite lovely. Scenery is perfect with a multiple seating options. The actual tasting is 8 differing wines. Staff is friendly.
Cons: Red solo cups glued to candle sticks to dump out any unpleasant wine- just tacky presentation, there's a random property dog loitering around- just awkward to see a dog walking about, I know Monroe is in the country but geez, the tour is of the machinery and not the actually vineyard area, and overall the process is unorganized to get seated.
There was a loud group of about 8 people in the area during the tasting that was not a part of the group. They were very loud and frequently interrupted the speaker so I'm surprised that the owners did not ask them to congregate elsewhere. Very disruptive.
This was a fun trip but they are a little rough around the edges in regards to the overall process. They are also stuck between trying to look classy but trying to also give off the Mom and Pop-ish feel. Get the groupon and get the better deal.
