  • We wanted to go out before our NYE dinner and as any good Yelper would do, we went to our handy dandy bookmarks and found The Womack was near where we would later be dining. I had been wanting to try this new hip looking bar that I saw while passing by the area. It has a retro feel from the street and outside and upon entering , that feel continues. There are cozy rounded booths of tufted leather with dim lights. Red baroque velvet wallpaper adorn the walls ; small lamps on the bar and the mirrored ceiling above bar give this bar such a lush, sexy feel. Outside is a small patio and heating lamps too. Live music makes this place pretty popular on weekends. I would reserve the booth tables that would hold 4-5 people as The Womack is smallish inside. We sat at the bar and the staff was on point immediately with waters for us. Everyone seemed genuinely friendly and happy that you were there! The Womack's cocktail menu is trendy yet you will find old favorites revamped here : The Rum Runner ; Gin Rickey ; Amaretto Sour , ( hand shaken hard and made with frothy egg whites like the kind my grandparents used to make!) ; The Champagne Cocktail was yummy with lemony fizz and a sugar cane cube to give it a fun look and lots of bubbles from the bottom of the flute. There is a pretty extensive wine list here too! Small plates looked yummy! I love a new trendy bar that is classy ; has great service and brings back the retro to now. Live music that tends to be jazzy/funk/hip is the icing on the cake to this great place and I can't wait to go back and spend more time here ! Cheers!!
