| - Having come to "sh@* can" beer night (Wednesday) every night for the past 5 weeks, I have grown fond of coming to Social. On this night, nearly all of the beers are priced at $2 or $3 and the selection is pretty good. The waitstaff can be slow and forgetful sometimes, but always very outgoing, friendly, and apologetic. The food is decent as well, particularly their build-your-own salads. However, there is one factor every Wednesday night which every potential Social-goer should be aware of, the dart league. Every sh@* can night, about 20 of the most impolite people in Pittsburgh swarm over half of the bar like a bunch of gnats seeking rotten fruit. I am a fan of participating in bar sports myself, but one must be aware that there is certain etiquette to abide by whilst playing games, or doing anything else, in the presence of other people. These pathetic, ignorant lowlifes pour their heart and soul into throwing objects at a board, carelessly stampeding and shouting around the bar like they own the place. I've seen them slamming barstools and glasses, standing over other patrons' tables while they're eating or trying to watch the tvs hung above the bar, and I saw one guy scream in the ear of a +80 year old woman, making her cry, because one of them hit a double 18. This unkept, careless faction of the bar practices reprehensible behavior every Wednesday night and I highly recommend sitting on the other side of the bar, if you even go at all. Do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs.. at least until Social does something about these awful people. Otherwise, Social would be a great place to eat, drink, and socialize.
