Sometimes I need to remind myself to stop buying books... Not because it's an expensive habit, but because I never end up reading the books I buy. It's a sad tale of expectation and reality... But this does not stop me from browsing through books online and going to the nearest Chapters and smelling/feeling the crisp new pages of a book... Yeah I'm pretty sick.
This Chapters is attached to the Bayview Village Shopping centre. It's two storeys with a Starbucks on the second floor, but the actual square footage of each store is on the small side. The greatest thing about this Chapters (and I'm sure they are going to roll it out across all other stores) is the new imac touch screen computer/book search engine they have. A saw a commercial for the new HP touch screens, I should have known Apple would have had such a thing out already.
I was looking for a particular book I found online - I'm really into these self help, self discovery books, such as "Change your brain, Change your life" or "How to break your addiction to a Person" but I opted for "7 Habits of highly effective people" - hahahaha. The web stated 7 copies in store, and seven copies there were!! I'm a happy book camper.
Extremely friendly staff, when I couldn't figure out that the computer screen was a touch screen (it made for some frustrating TABbing) the lady came over and not only helped me with my computer literacy issue, but directed me to find my book!
