  • I had my 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT taken to RadAir. The car would not start & it wasn't the battery. They told me it was ready and I picked up the car and paid the $1,770. It was running a little rough, but it was moving. That didn't last long. The car became progressively worse, stalling, lurching. When I was almost home it seized up. I call Rad Air and they send someone out. He would get the car towed back. He offered to drive me home, but It was an easy walk so I declined. I find out that several pistons were blown and other collateral damage. They wanted $1,300 to just open the engine up so they could see the extent of the damage. The damage would cost about $7,000 to repair so I declined as that is more than the car is worth. The manager told me they were disappointed. They did bill me for machine shop time plus $100 for having the car towed back to their shop, which I paid so I could have the car towed away from there. Pretty nice?
