| - Amazing place, an utter gem - & a hidden-in-plain-sight one, at that! Porco doesn't look like much; in fact, it kind of looks abandoned, or just like a place you shouldn't go. But it has a great backyard bar, complete with pink plastic flamingos for sunny-day ambiance. Inside, it's dark & a little mysterious, like a dive that's not quite divey.
Their prices feel a little bit expensive, but for all that fancy rum? It's gonna be worth it. Their drink descriptions aren't particularly descriptive, which the servers fully admit to, & they'll offer to help you through it & explain anything you're interested in. Even their happy hour drinks - which aren't on the menu - are a little spendy, but they're really tasty & REALLY boozy - so, again, worth it. The severs have extensive rum knowledge, with descriptions that surpass whatever you could expect or hope for from the menu. Ask them questions!
Also on their happy hour menu? $5 for three pulled pork tacos that are delicious, even better that at, like... places that specialize in tacos. I also caught a glimpse of their nachos, which are absolutely massive. You're going to want to split that one with friends, believe me.
Porco is a perfect place to catch up with a friend & try a new kind of rum you never knew existed. You'll probably spend more than you meant to, but you'll leave feeling like you just experienced the best of hidden Cleveland.
