| - I was so excited for this place to reopen as I love the location and the big outdoor bar, but just like it's predecessors 905 and Fate, it's coming up way short. All it needs is to work out some minor kinks though, and I hope it does, because then I would happily revisit.
Though all the staff were really nice, we were seated for about 15 minutes before a server came over. Then it took another 10-15 minutes to get our drink orders. They ran out of a main ingredient on the menu so I couldn't order what I wanted to, and frankly, the menu failed to impress. There was nothing altogether unique on the menu that made me excited to try it, nor would I say, "Oh, I want to come back and try that next time." I settled for the grilled cheese, which was pretty bland. Nothing memorable about it. It had pears on it, which it didn't need. I get that it was trying to be a little different like that, but they didn't add to it at all. And the only thing it came with was one sad-looking pickle. My sandwich also arrived about 10 minutes before the server brought out my date's entree, which was just weird.
On a positive note, my dirty martini was perfect and I had a fun time just sitting at the bar afterward. I would definitely go back to the bar for a drink, but have no desire to retry the restaurant.
