Our families live on the east coast so we use the mail a lot. Usually we opt for Canada Post but my mamma thought it would be easier/more cost effective to use Purolator.
As a side note, I worked for Ford as a shipper/reciever and never had an issue with them. In fact it was my perfered method as it was a quick form to fill out online, tape it on (dont tape over the barcodes) and then the employee scans and its gone. Easy.
As a regular customer it sucks!
I live in Forest Lawn off 44th Street. Super (in fact a 35 minute drive) away from their depot. So totally not convient for me at all. But it is convient for me to recieve it at my door. With Canada post they make 3 attempts. With purolator they make 1.
So not fully knowing what was what I called in using the ticket they left me. At first they couldnt find my parcel because the tracking number was written down wrong. Which sucked, took them 3 days to call me back to say they found it.
Oh did I mention they only hold the package for 5 days? Chelsi please tell us how long Canada Post holds on for: 15!!!!!! Thats a super crazy difference.
So without a car I take half a day off work to transit there. A 35min drive equals a 2hr transit commute. In minus 30. It sucked and I was rushed and it was far :( bad expierence all around
I told my mamma never to use them again and that Canada Post has a depot on 17th Ave, a 5 minute walk from my house.
If I had a car I probably wouldnt be so bitter. And if the worker had filled out the card correctly. And if purolator didnt waste 3 days tracking it down. And if I wasnt forced to venture out on the worst day in fear of my parcel being returned to sender for the short 5 day hold policy.
Big thumbs down from this gal
