Feels like you've been blasted back into the 1950's when you walk in, only after getting straight A's on your report card and you've earned ice cream as a treat. The workers are clad in white button up shirts with bow ties and are so super friendly.
It was a cool winter night, I opted for a single scoop of coffee ice cream. I could definitely taste the coffee, but the texture was not too creamy. But for an advertised "single scoop" you get a little more than that =). A friend of mine had a sore throat so just opted for coffee (yes something for everybody here!). Not to be undermined by the rest of the top notch menu, this place offers french press! They bring out the whole pot for you too (good for about two cups of coffee) which was pretty smooth if I do say so myself.
The establishment itself was very clean. Up front is a myriad of sweets (chocolates, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, flavored popcorn etc). Sit up front at the marble counter and watch the bow-tied workers concoct all these heavenly desserts. There are also 2 tables up in the front room, and also an adjoining salon where kids can eat at their own sized table, a few booths and more tables.
Next thing I want to try with a group of friends: The "Terminal tower" which features a whopping 10 scoops for $34! Makes for some great photo ops
