| - I've never seen so many different types of cactuses in my life. Everything is labeled well. Unfortunately we came during the winter, so there were not many flowers. The wildlife is still very abundant. If you're very lucky you can catch a road runner, otherwise there are mostly quail.
The saguaro cacti are a sight to see. It's amazing at how tall some of them were, towering just like trees. The herb garden is also interesting to check out. It seems to have become the caretaker's personal garden. I saw chili, eggplants, basil, Chinese cabbage, kumquats, oranges, pomegranates, beets, and more in the herb garden.
If you want to see the butterfly garden they are open March to Mother's Day. Monarch specific butterflies begin in the Fall.
The prices are $22 for adult, and only $12 for student. It's a little overpriced, especially with such a huge difference between adult and student. To be honest, I got bored after a while, but if you're a tourist like we were, this is definitely a decent thing to kill time.
