| - I've stayed at a few hotels here in Vegas, (Luxor, Rio, Stratosphere), and so far I think that the Monte Carlo is better than the places I've stayed before. I'm staying in a Monacco suite, but I think that next time I would rather just stay in a high floor strip view room. THE PROS: It has an entrance right on the strip. It has a tram that connects it to Aria and Bellagio. There are a lot of places to eat that are right inside the hotel. There are a lot of places with happy hours right inside the hotel. It is connected to Crystal center for some high-end shopping. If you leave housekeeping a note, like I want more towels, they will leave more towels. If you call down to the front desk and need something they respond promptly. The gym is included in your resort fee and it is beautiful. In my opinion the place is clean and the staff is friendly. THE CONS: The walls are thin and the Monacco suite that I am in butts up against the wall holding the elevator, another room's bathroom, I can hear the conversations everyone is having as they get off of the elevator, and I can hear luggage being dragged over tiles...click click click...you get the idea ( I believe that a regular room would not be as noisy, the location of the suites is just unfortunate ). The shower heads are like pressure washers (not really a con if you like good water pressure). There is no wireless internet, but the wired internet is fast and free. MY SUGGESTIONS: Book a regular room with a strip view instead of going for a suite. Bring a case of bottled water with you. Let housekeeping clean your room every day you stay so that you are sure to get your coffee, bottled water, and towels without having to get them yourself. Leave a note for housekeeping if you need something extra. Check-in at 3pm is a little crazy, it is like that every day, so relax and be prepared to be in line for a while.
